A mama robin decided to make her nest on the windowsill of one of my colleagues at work. He installed a camera to capture the nestlings' progress and made a time lapse montage. It's amazing to watch.
The adult birds never stop caring for their young, much like all you hard-working parents out there.

So cool. T and I just watched this together. She kept saying "Bordy sit in, bordy seepin"
Its amazing how far she puts her beak in when she's feeding them, you'd think they'd choke!

Wonderful! A precarious place to nest... and amazing to see how big the chicks got and the mum perching on top!
Thanks for sharing such an insightful set of images. What a wonderful place to work!

it is an exhausting job, parenthood but it is filled with treasures and then one day they do leave the nest:)

Spectacular! We had nesting robins in June and it is an amazing thing to witness. Our brood of three stayed around our garden for a couple of weeks after leaving the nest. They even came back to the nest, but really only landed there for a few moments. Once they lost their speckled chest feathers and 'learn the ropes' of being a robin, I couldn't tell my brood from the other robins. But, it is truly a miracle.

Fantastic! I'm worn out just watching it -- no wonder I never had kids :)
