I've
blogged before about my love for beeswax candles. I had several people asking me where I get mine after my last post. My favourites are from
Pheylonian. They are amazing quality, smell wonderful, and with proper care, last a really long time.
Such a wonderful way to light up these cold and dark days.
what a cozy and comforting place, the candles do make all the difference

Those photos just made me feel so calm for a moment (before this crazy days kicks in). Thank you, Nicole.
ReplyDeleteI am a bit of a candle addict, and used to make (and sell) my own beeswax candles. But candlelight is a nightly ritual for me. As I'm heading for bed — which of course involves tidying up the living room, stopping by Pinterest, washing my face, blah blah — I gradually am turning off (already low) lights, until all that's left is one candle. And the last thing I do before bed is enjoy that moment of tidy quiet peacefulness and then, poof, blow it out.
Those really are the best beeswax candles . I think it is the wick . Have you ever read about the people who make them . According to local historian James F. Robinson, “The Philoxians, an artistic and peace-loving religious sect, believe that they are descended from survivors of the lost and legendary continents of Atlantis and Mu, once populated by gods from outer space. They are waiting patiently for the gods to return.” :) interesting
ReplyDeleteSuch a soft, warm light xoxo
