Even in winter, you can see brilliant bursts of colours. You just have to know where to look...
Thanks Margie for a magical winter walk!
And thank you to everyone for the kind birthday wishes! You make my heart swell.

What beautiful photos of things that most of us would just have walked past and such crisp, clear light.

it was magical indeed especially the matchstick lichen on the old wooden fence, the chickadee talking up my offer on hand to land on even though I didn't have any food and last but definitely not least your wonderful gentle spirit.

Your pictures are truly gorgeous. I'm so very much seeking the sun here in the Pacific North West right now... What a delight to take a sunny winter walk via your photos.

I'm seeing these rather late as I've been moving house but they are so wonderful, lovely colours indeed. Happy belated birthday Nicole.
The chickadees look so similar to our coal tits here in the UK, but they seem much calmer our coal tits are a bit frantic.
Hope you're well :)
