  10. I'm so jealous of people who can get lilacs. We had a bush in the backyard of the house where I grew up, and it was such a big deal each year, the day we would decide to cut the lilacs and bring them in — knowing it would be amazing and so very short-lived. I can still smell them every time I see a photo.

And that shawl is gorgeous, not surprisingly!

  17. Just found your blog - I agree with everything said here, but have a question - how did you get your lilacs to keep? They look beautiful and full and whenever I try to bring them indoors they droop almost automatically! Thanks!
