This Sunday morning I'm completely ignoring the dust bunnies, dirty dishes and heaving piles of laundry. Instead I'm:
Breakfasting on oatmeal with rhubarb compote.
Making headway on a pile of Gris Handknits orders.
Trying (rather unsuccessfully) to resist my new obsession in life.
You?
(To answer those who inquired about my horizon socks, I didn't have a pattern. Just my basic sock "recipe" with the addition of stripes.)
sounds like a heavenly sort of procrastination... plus, that is a bit what sundays are about (at least for me!).
ReplyDeletehow wonderful that you have picked up spinning. it really does become quite an obsession! i love my wheel, which i found for $10 at the flea market a few years ago, but i actually prefer my spindle (and you can bring it where ever you go...)
have a wonderful rest of your sunday!

ReplyDeleteWhat pretty pictures!! Sorry for bugging you re. patterns, but I'm wondering if you'd share the yarn that you're using for the mitten or sock above? :) Enjoy the remainder of Sunday! Stephanie
ReplyDeleteLooks like a terrific way to start the day! Mmmm... rhubarb is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI spent the morning snuggling with the cat, knitting a baby surprise jacket, sipping a giant mug of hot coffee, and (sadly) doing some much-needed laundry. Not too shabby!
i just want to dive into that first photograph and spend what remains of my there
ReplyDeleteHere's to lazy Sundays with no sense of urgency to do...anything! That's the way they were meant to be.
