Coastal Knits winner

Just popping in quickly to announce the winner of my little Coastal Knits giveaway. The random number generator picked Wendy as the lucky winner. Congratulations Wendy! I will email you to get your details.

I'll come back and do a longer post about my silent retreat in a little bit. Unfortunately, the cold I started right before leaving kept me inside my little cabin for most of the weekend, but it was nice knitting by the wood stove, and I certainly got a lot of rest in the peace and quiet.

And I did make some progress on the Rocky Coast cardi. Some of you asked what yarn I'm using. It's the luscious Organik by the Fiber Company.

Ok, back to bed for me (sniffle sniffle).

  3. ah so sorry you are under the weather.
So many nasty little viruses circulating right now.
My remedy is homemade chicken soup with brown rice, lemon and fresh coriander.
Wish I could deliver you some.

  4. Congrats, Wendy!

Oooo...I might have to make mine out of Organik. I'm making one for my aunt out of Quince & Co. It's nowhere near as velvety as yours looks!

    Get well soon!

  7. Hi Jennifer,
To answer your question, the hat on the chair is a Kate Davies pattern (aka Needled) called Caller Herrin. The yarn is Alice Starmore's Virtual Yarn Hebridean 2-ply. You can find more info about it here:
