A little while ago, Arounna from Bookhou asked me if I would be interested in knitting a few garments for her beautiful store at 798 Dundas street in Toronto.

OF COURSE I said. What an honour to think that my little handknits would nestle next to the amazing creations in her store.

I got swatching, designing and working up some very simple pieces. I wanted to stay in keeping with the pared-down Bookhou esthetic.

I called the collection "Gris Handknits", working with luxury yarns in a limited palette of grey, cream and navy.

  21. Your knitted work for Arounna's store is very lovely and elegant. Love the name of the line too.

I think we were both at Geninne's workshop this summer but sitting at opposite ends of the table so we didn't meet. I admire anyone who can knit, especially knit beautifully like you do. I am left-handed and my mother tried to teach me when I was young but gave up in frustration. :)

  30. Nicole I had been admiring your beautiful knits on Arounna's site. I didn't realize that you are the lovely knitter of these beauties.
I don't think we officially met but I was at Geninne's workshop in the summer and I believe you were at the other end of the table. Funny how we got so involved in our fabulous stamp making we forgot to meet some of our fellow classmates!
