Earth laughs in flowers.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
If this is true, then mother nature must find Hawaii hysterical.
Most of these were taken in Waimea Valley, an enchanted place vibrating with colour. Speaking of which, this Sunday I'm taking a day-long workshop on how to dye with natural materials. I can't wait! Wishing you a colourful weekend too!
Stunning photos!
ReplyDeleteHave fun dyeing...:)
Sadly yes, blogger spit up our posts from yesterday. Luckily, I had saved mine a day ahead and just had to re-publish my latest missive from its draft...
So beautiful! I love Hawaii -- and I'm not one for warm-weather vacations.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed yesterday's post and I wanted to comment, but an odd Blogger window popped up and wouldn't allow me to do so. Mysterious...
Yay, looks like Blogger has fixed the problem. My trip recap post is back up.
ReplyDeletethese are a feast for the eyes. i especially love the 3rd one down and the one with just the gently bending grasses. must have been a beautiful experience to be here.

Have a blast at the class but little warning once you start dyeing naturally there is no turning back.

ReplyDeleteLove the opening lines to this post. My parents just went to Hawaii last month as well, and had nothing be good things to say and beautiful pictures to show for it. I'm glad Hawaii was so amazing!
ReplyDeleteOh I am so jealous -- a photographers dream -- you took some beautiful shots -- Queen of the close-up you are!
ReplyDeleteahahah I'm laughing at Margie's comment about natural dyeing !!! You'll be hooked in no time. I'm blaming a too full month of May for not dyeing more ... and I'm really missing it.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait what you'll have made !
