I know I'm probably the only human being in the North East wishing that the cold and snow would continue a while longer. They're calling for +10 C and rain all day tomorrow, which breaks my winter-loving heart. The ski trails probably won't recover.
Perhaps if I keep knitting toasty outer wear, Jack Frost will stay a while longer...
The perfectly slouchy, gartery Rikke hat. And bonus, it doesn't give me hat-head.
I rarely knit anything twice, but I will definitely make more of these. Project details can be found here.
Well, I'm off to the woods, to get what may be my last ski of the season...
T'as bien l'air d'être bien!
Charles
such a pretty ensemble et I think Jack is responding to your request. It is much colder here anyway!
ReplyDeleteOh Nicole, you are a one of a kind wishing for more winter. I suspect that you will be rewarded in March. The simple hat is just lovely.
ReplyDeleteÀ Québec on nous annonce de 15 à 30 cm de neige demain. Nos centres de ski vont rester ouverts... :-)
ReplyDeletei like that you love winter so much. i love it too. that is one beautiful hat- hope you get to continue to enjoy wearing it this season...
ReplyDeleteGorgeous hat! Subtle and perfect. I'm a bit sick of winter, but it is still February there's plenty of time to wear woolen knits.
ReplyDeleteI love the winter but I must admit some sun and warmth would be nice now! That hat looks great, especially as it is a no hat head hat!
ReplyDeleteI want winter to continue too and I am BITTER that we only got scant amounts of snow here:(
ReplyDeleteBTW I saw on Flickr you knit this hat several days ago and I am ITCHING to cast on!!
I love the yarn. The hat looks great. I cannot help but ask, what is the other yarn piece drapped around the neck?
ReplyDeleteI love this! You picked a beautiful color for your hat.
ReplyDeleteokay okay, I admit i love winter but it has been a tiny bit difficult dealing with it after a week in the sun with geninne. Your mittens kept me very warm today , to and from work.

I would love winter to go on and on, too! Perhaps if I had such a snazzy woolly hat ...
